He was born in Lithuania and received his secondary education in Kaunas. After completing high school, he enrolled in the Vilnius State Institute of Physical Education and Sports from 1948 to 1952. During his time there, Krasauskas excelled in swimming and won several championships in different styles and distances in the Lithuanian SSR.
In 1952, Krasauskas pursued his artistic education at the Art Institute of the Lithuanian SSR in Vilnius.
