Alexey Titarenko is an American photographer born in the former Soviet Union who currently resides in New York City. Known predominantly for his experimental 'City of Shadows' project, wherein he captures the masses roaming the streets of the state once known as the USSR, Titarenko has long played with the technique of long exposures, to equally fascinating and haunting results.
The acclaimed artist also indulges in traditional methods of the likes of film photography and darkroom printing; leading author Nikolay Treyman to say of Titarenko's work, 'this is a full realisation of the analog potential.'
